Danny Patterson was inducted into the THPA Hall of Fame in 2023 becoming the 51st Member to be inducted. He is a 37 year Member of the THPA who started pitching at the Clifton, TX Club in 1987. Danny is a Championship Pitcher as well as an avid Ambassador for both our THPA Organization & the Sport of Horseshoe Pitching.

When the Waco Club started in 1988, Danny was an original member. For the last 5 years, he has been serving as the Waco Club Treasurer. He served as a Texas Delegate to the NHPA Meeting in 2021. At Tournaments, he always keeps score or helps out wherever needed. Danny has recruited & mentored many Texas horseshoe pitchers. One of Danny’s best Gifts is his smile & the encouragement he offers to everyone he meets.

Nationally, Danny’s List of Pitching Accomplishments is very impressive:

• Currently ranked 7th in the World in the Elder’s Division.

• Finished 9th in the World Elders Championship in 2021.

• Finished 8th in the World Elders Championship in 2022.

• Top 10 Award in NHPA Sanctioned Leagues every year from 2015 through 2022.

• The best NHPA Sanctioned League Season Point Average of 95.94 per game in 2022.

• The highest NHPA Sanctioned League Season Ringer Average of 75.56% in 2022.

In Texas, Danny’s list of Pitching Accomplishments is even more stellar:

• Currently ranked 1st in Texas in the Elder’s Division.

• 3 Time Class Champion winning Class E (1999), Class K (2001), & Class G (2004).

• Class C Doubles Champion with T.P. Holt in 2015.

• 2009 State Hi/Lo Doubles Champion with Cathy Richards.

• 4 Time State Doubles Champion with Doris Hieden in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023.

• 5 Time State Singles Elders Champion in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, & 2023.
