Joe Sullins

Joe Sullins was inducted into the THPA Hall of Fame in 1986 becoming the 12th Member to be inducted.

* THPA President: 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987

* THPA Vice President 1983

* THPA Treasurer: 1988, 1989

* Traveled more than 155,000 miles promoting new clubs

* Organized the following clubs: East Bernard, Austin, Lubbock,

  El Paso, Amarillo, San Angelo, Wichita Falls, Midland,

  Sommerville, Brenham, Angleton

* 1987- awarded Outstanding President by the NHPA for his tremendous work within our organization.

Joe's leadership and civic mindedness were attributed to his 23 years with the City of Houston Police Department. Even through his mounting success, Joe believed that not enough people were pitching horseshoes and always worked towards bringing in new members. Few men in the THPA have walked as tall as Joe Sullins.
